Types of Information We Collect and How It Is Used

The Potato Promotion Association gathers personal information, such as first and last names, addresses and e-mail addresses, birth dates, contact phone numbers, when voluntarily submitted by you. For example, personal information may be collected from you in order to get your feedback on our products when you respond to a survey, when you participate in a promotional offer or to enter you in a contest, on-line game or sweepstakes. The Potato Promotion Association does not knowingly collect information on-line from children (under 13 or otherwise).

Sharing of Personal Information

The Potato Promotion Association may share personal information within the Potato Promotion Association’s family of entities, which includes current and future association members and the U.S. Potato Board. Each member of the Potato Promotion Association’s family of entities and/or each Web site established by a member may have its own privacy policy, which it may modify as needed consistent with these terms. Occasionally, with your permission when you opt in to receive them, we will send marketing information to you, such as discount coupons, offers and information about our products. If you do not elect to receive such materials, they will not be sent to you. When we contact you for marketing purposes, we will let you know how to remove your name from future marketing efforts.

Companies may be engaged by us to perform a variety of functions, such as fulfilling rebates, assisting with promotions and providing technical services for our Web sites. These companies may have access to personal information if needed to perform such functions. However, these companies may only use such personal information for the purpose of performing that function and may not use it for any other purpose.

The Potato Promotion Association does not sell, transfer or disclose personal information to outside third parties not in our family of entities. However, with your permission, we may on occasion send marketing information on behalf of one of our business partners about products or services they provide that may be of interest to you.
